Place Curator

We are seeking a Place Curator to join our growing Placemaking and Place Activation team, working across the Leeds & Manchester studios. The successful candidate will have experience in event planning and delivery and an appreciation of the importance of health & wellbeing in the workplace.

The position offers flexibility in working hours and days and would involve in part working from the location of the places we curate and for the remainder could be studio or home based.

Job Duties

  • Creating event proposals which fit client requirements and presenting proposals by deadline
  • Maintaining a working relationship with clients, residents vendors and venues
  • Planning event aspects, such as health & safety, logistics, facilitators/vendors, guests list
  • Coordinating event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers
  • Staying under budget while planning event specifications
  • Issuing invoices and processing purchases in a timely manner, and creating comprehensive and readable financial reports
  • Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organising vendors
  • Communicating with marketing teams to create effective advertisements for each event, and when necessary crafting marketing materials such as print and internet advertisements for individual events
  • Anticipating and planning for different scenarios
  • Creating promotional opportunities for future events during client liaisons and during events, including possessing a strong working knowledge of the company to further these sales opportunities
  • Planning multiple events at once
  • Reporting on event take up, attendance and impact
  • Managing and populating social media and App content to promote and provide information on events and activity
